The ingredients needed to make Best Snacking Cake:

  1. You need 1/2 C of butter.
  2. Use 4 of tblsp cocoa powder plus 3 tblsp for dusting.
  3. Use 1/2 C of sugar.
  4. You need 3 of large eggs (don't pre-beat).
  5. Take 1 of tblsp baking powder.
  6. Prepare 1 tsp of vanilla.
  7. Use 1 C of flour.

Steps to make Best Snacking Cake:

  1. Grease an 8x8 pan, dust with the 3 tblsp cocoa powder...also preheat your oven to 350 for metal pans or 325 for glass pans.
  2. Melt the butter and stir in the cocoa powder and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, add the sugar and stir in the eggs -doesn't matter if it's all at once or one at a time- use a whisk or fork to really combine them.
  4. Add the buttery chocolate mixture, stir well and then add the baking powder and vanilla -stir well again then add the flour and stir until combined.
  5. Pour into the prepared pan (the mixture will be a little thick) and as best as you can, spread it well into the corners.
  6. For metal pans, bake for 25-30 minutes -check it at 25 minutes...you want the middle to be slightly springy...for glass pans, bake for 30-35 minutes -check it at 30.
  7. Place pan on a rack to cool...let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before cutting and removing pieces (the cake will still need to cool more before eating so you don't burn your tongue).
