The ingredients needed to cook Fondant:

  1. You need 1 1/2 tablespoon of galatin.
  2. You need 60 ml of cold water.
  3. Get 1 teaspoon of glycerine.
  4. Use of Glucose syrup.
  5. Provide 1 teaspoon of flavour.
  6. You need 500 g of icing sugar.
  7. Prepare 2 teaspoon of shortening.
  8. Prepare of Food colour (preferably gel).
  9. Get 1 teaspoon of CMC.

Instructions to make Fondant:

  1. Pour cold water in a small bowl..
  2. Sprinkle gelatin in the water,let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  3. Place the bowl over simmering water stir the mixture until clear..
  4. Pour in glucose syrup & glycerin and stir.
  5. Add shortening, flavour & colour.
  6. In a large bowl, sieve icing sugar and CMC..
  7. Add the gelatin mixture to the icing sugar mix with a wooden spoon then knead till it is not sticky and it's pliable..
  8. Cover with shortening and wrap with a cling wrap and stor in an airtight container..
